Everyone’s Dreams, Coming True!? Chapter 7 - Wonderful Magician?

Other than Sig, I can’t think of anyone else that touched the little chest off the top of my head. Everyone went and tirelessly looked for him, but no one’s seen him. We see him all over the place, but we didn't realize we didn't go back to check the park, the first place we saw him. Though, we were getting a bit tired from the goose chase, so we took a break and went into chit-chat mode.
"All things considered, everyone has lots of dreams~. Right, Carby?" Arle said, casually.
"Gu~gu~"
"What I want to be...what I like, what I've always liked...maybe someone to love...ah well, each to their own." Ringo agreed with honesty.
That's right, everyone's got a dream...Thinking back to each of those dreams, it suddenly got me filled with curiosity.
"Hey hey, what do you think we'll see in Arle and Ringo's dreams?"
"Eh!?" The two of them shouted at the same time. Then they pondered about it for a bit.
"My dream...let's see~. Uhm, I want to see myself with Carby challenging a dungeon and reaping its treasures! It's nice that Primp Town's peaceful and all, but I'm an adventurer. Sometimes the thrill of a dungeon makes my heart race~..." Arle began smiling partway in her dream talk.
*Poof!*
Something suddenly appeared before us! It turned out to be a stony shrine. And to top off our jaw-dropping, it even came with a sign board standing next to it. The sign read, "Treasures and dangers await here, in the Heart-Pounding✰Dungeon" written on it. Th- The heck is this!?
"Th-! This is...because of what I said just now!?"
"In the most blatant way possible, yes!"
"Guguu!!"
Carbuncle joyfully hopped about, and quickly ran off into the dungeon entrance.
"S- S-S-S-Stop, Carby! This is all an obvious illusion made from the Dream Mist!" Arle hurried to stop him.
"Wh- W-w-w-what now? Arle, are you dreaming!?"
I pinched Arle's cheek.
"Y-Yeowouch! I'm not, but if I was, I wouldn’t have stopped Carby~!"
Well, she does have a point.
"Hmm, perhaps this is..."
Ringo crossed her arms and thought of something. But then she pointed up to the sky in a snap.
"Ah! For the longest time, I've longed to see the unidentified flying object with my own two eyes, or in short, the UFO!" she exclaimed. And then it happened!
*Poof!*
In the sky Ringo's pointing at, some unfamiliar silver disk-like thing appeared. As it flew...it made weird "myon-myon" sounds.
"Ya-HOO! Here, here, here, here it comes!"
Ringo strikes a gutsy pose.
"R-Ringo. What does this mean?"
"Amitie. In short, in conclusion, because the Dream Mist is unsealed, we can make any of our dreams into reality!"
"No way!"
Well, things just got interesting!
"I-Isn't this dangerous though?" Arle wondered, peering into the Heart-Pounding✰Dungeon. It may be an illusion, but she does seem curious.
"Hm~...well we know this is a dream, so you should be alright?"
"I see. I'll give it a shot. This dungeon here is all a dream I made up~!"
*Poof!*
When she said it, the unknown dungeon disappeared into the Dream Mist, and the mist went back into the little chest.
"Well...so it was a dream all along. I knew it was, but it's a shame."
"Guu..."
Arle and Carbuncle sighed.
"Still, I have confirmed my theory! Dreams are perplexing, and might not have various ways of reverting it, but you'll be okay if you're aware!" Ringo proclaimed with excitement. Alrighty, let's give it a shot!
"Uhhm, well, uhh...I realy want to eat a huge parfait, with all of my heart!" I shouted.
*Poof!*
Right before my eyes, out came a gigantic parfait so tall it made me lean back!
"W-whoah~!"
Ringo and Arle gave an unamused answer.
"Still, the various attempts were genuine. This time...ah yes. Well, let's see, I want to see something wondrous, something no one's seen before!" Ringo triumphantly proclaimed.
*Poof!*
"...what's that?" Arle mumbled.
This is totally a dream come true! I came up to the parfait with overflowing joy, trying to taking some of the cream and eat it up...
"...Aww. I can't taste it. Oh well, I can't cry about it."
Because it's all a dream, when the cream went into my mouth, it just disappeared without a trace.
"Well...it's just a dream."
"Anyhow, Amitie, you're quite the challenger. You're aware this is actually the Dream Mist, yet you still tried eating it..."
Some sort of messy clump of stuff started coming down from the sky. It was colorful, but colorful in a way that looks more like randomly splattering paint. There's even a big question mark right on it.
"Well, it's as Ringo said? It's definitely something mysterious that I've never seen before..."
"Isn't that a bit too on-the-nose!?"
Arle and I spoke our thoughts out loud, then Ringo gave her disappointed response.
"I certainly did not have a clear vision of my image. If your imagination does not reach a threshold, it cannot take tangible form."
I get it! She used some pretty hard words, but in other words, it won't make things if you don't think of it hard enough!
"I see. So food and vague descriptions don't really work," Arle thought out loud.
"What about people you want to meet?" I declared, but Arle just shook her head.
"Haven't thought much of that...Even if I could summon someone, it'd still be a fake one from my imagination, so I don't think there's much point to meeting a fake."
"I see..."
"Amitie, what do you dream of? Besides the giant parfait."
"My dream?"
I thought about it for a moment. Of course! It's the dream that's been etched in my heart for forever!
"My dream is to become a wonderful magician!"
I flicked out the V-Sign as I proudly announced it. Seems Arle and Ringo got curious.
"Come to think of it, you've always said you wanted to be a wonderful magician~"
"Wonderful magician...what do you mean by wonderful? 'Wonderful' is an incredibly nebulous word!"
"Well, you see..."
I got nervous trying to make the image. I thought about my dearest dream many, many times over. And I've got to show it to these two!
"Wonderful is wonderful! Cast tons of spells, be smart, be really strong in Puyo...I want to be the one magician that can do anything and doesn’t need help!"
*Poof!*
And the very next moment, the "Wonderful Magician Amitie" that's etched in my mind appeared near us. It's the me that's become the Super Magician that could do anything, looking over here with a cool smile.
"Ohhh, so cool! Hey hey, Arle, Ringo, what do you think?" I turned around to ask them, brimming with confidence!
...Though...
"So...that's wonderful, you say?"
"Sorry. That's not exactly what I had in mind."
They just scrunched their eyebrows when they looked at "Wonderful Magician Amitie". Seriously!? But why!?
"I-It's wonderful, isn't it!? If that doesn't cut it...she's good at singing, and cooking too..." I panicked randomly brought up some things, but they just shook their head.
"Ugh. Amitie..."
"That's not it, is it..."
My comments just bounced right off of them.
"That Amitie simply just isn't you."
"You're really stretching it if you think you can be what you imagine."
"Buuut~..."
Even then, while I flop my tests and am a bit of a klutz, I can still see myself like that... I want to be a wonderful magician, but those two don't don't think I can.
"But don't you see I have a hunch it'll happen in the future?" I timidly asked.
I'm kinda hoping they'll avoid saying something about the other Amitie, who is definitely the Wonderful Magician.
"Well, you're not wrong."
"Rather, it's more of a maybe."
A-ack...
Arle and Ringo nodded in agreement.
"Okay, so you two think so too..."
So it is one big maybe. And with a "here!", we all just evened out. Besides, my friends usually come to help me out. Still, they don't think I'll become a wonderful magician. But becoming a "Wonderful Magician" is my lifelong dream. I told them straight to the point...
"W-well, I don't care! It's just a dream! This is all a dream!
*Poof!*
The dream I whipped up so suddenly disappeared.
"O-oh yeah! Now I'm sure I'll never become a wonderful magician!"
It's kinda sad, but kinda embarrassing. I let out an 'ahahahaha' to fake my emotions, making Arle and Ringo go into a panic.
"Eh? Amitie! It's not like that!"
"Y-yeah! We didn't mean it that way..."
Aahh~~, they're following along. But I didn't answer back right away...
"With that done, let's go find Sig! The Dream Mist is funny and all, but we've messed around not knowing where he is!" I zoomed from feeling down to cheering myself up.
"Amitie..."
Arle and Ringo weren't the ones who said that. So...
"Who called?"
I heard Sig, but that's all he said.
"Ah, Sig..."
Goody. At least the Sig chase is over with. I turned around, feeling relieved...then screamed.
"WHAAAAAAAAAAA!?"
