Sig’s Secret Chapter 7 - Gotta Find Sig!

Image
"Okay then, let's not waste any time and get Sig!" "Yeah, let's go!" "Guu!" "Right with you!" Arle and Carbuncle, and Ringo continued on with me. I'm not losing my way. I've got two reliable friends...Oh, and Carbuncle too! ...Yeah, it's great being able to take that brave step forward. One hour later...

Sig’s Secret Chapter 6 - Calling it Quits!?

And by the next day, Sig's back to his usual self. His usual emotionless and unresponsive, flighty-as-always, absent-minded self. On the other hand, he was all silent when he went home the other day. Everyone was all "You're acting really unusual, Sig." or "Are you going to look for bugs?" getting all concerned and stuff, but that's pretty much it. I'm a worrying trainwreck. But when I tried to ask him something... "It's nothing." That's all I'm getting out of him. Besides that,  I don't have any more to ask. Hmm... Don't tell me Sig's getting tired with the cafe business. No no no, it can't be that! But still, it might be that. ...I'm throwing myself into a loop just thinking about it.

Sig’s Secret Chapter 5 - Sig’s Anxiety

Primp Festival is getting closer by the day. For just that day, Sig and I went to the park to decorate the cafe. Looking at it now, it looks like we did a lot of work on the festival prep. The Primp townfolk are sure to be out and about at the stands of course, with a big stage placed at the heart of it all, complete with some hanging lanterns. I'm getting hyped up by just looking at it! Sig and I lined up the tables and chairs Arle and Ringo built, while Raffine and Klug are setting up the framework. When that's ready, the colorful cloth can be put up to make a roof-like shape...okay, it's looking more like a cafe now! On top of that, we got the origami stars and flowers all hung up, and to round it off, everyone's lining it with moonsunflowers.

Sig’s Secret Chapter 4 - The Uncanny Potion

And the next day has come. I headed over to the park like usual, meeting up with Arle, Ringo, and Carbuncle. "Whew~..." Right before me, Arle and Ringo had already set up the table and chairs from the day before yesterday. The table was made with wood boards and sturdy thick poles, and the chairs were small stools. Sure they're simple, but somehow they're really cute!

My first scanlation! Someone wanted this translated for a comic dub, so I decided to step in. Since this is a short piece, translation notes are going right here. And  HOO BOY, TRANSLATING ANYTHING FROM YU AND REI IS A NIGHTMARE. I did not get the first question at all, or if there was a pun in there in the first place.  I just did it semi-straight, trying to make it sound as rhythmic as possible. I even struggled with the second question’s pun, where the answer was “おんねん” or “malice”. Since it originally asked for “何年(なんねん)”, I needed some kind of word play. Which…I did by rhyming the word 8 a bunch of times. As for the last question, I had to change the reason because it involved a writing system pun. And that’s untranslatable in English. The original reason was that “Carbuncle can win (かったかな, the verb used) because his name is written in Katakana (カタカナ).” Since Puyo was localized into “Puyo Pop” for a long time and you  POP PUYO , I ran w...

Sig’s Secret Chapter 3 - Lemres and Feli’s Arrival

Image
A few days ago, Sig and I, as well as Raffine and Klug, stayed at the Magic School classroom after classes to make decorations and signs. As for Arle and Ringo, they're over at the park tables and chairs to prepare. Things were going pretty calm, chatting away while we work, until a voice suddenly echoed though the door and into the classroom.

Sig’s Secret Chapter 2 - Trouble with Practice?

Image
Sig's spacing out like usual. But that's besides the point here. While everyone's bustling about, he's always going step by step making an image for himself. He rarely ever shows emotion or expression. When he catches sight of bugs, which he really likes, he gets a bit too serious about them and has a "Appears to be laughing?" kind of face. As for me, I'm always the cheery but hasty one, and whenever something goes wrong, everyone says "Amitie is really easy to read." Uh~m, Sig really needs to work hard as the Sub-Leader, huh. I'm already worried. ...that's ’cause since I was chosen to be the Leader that day, I'd have to talk about a bunch of things with Sig on the way home...
